A few months ago, I was contacted by Amelie G, a New Orleans-based magazine. They have a street-style inspired blog called Amelie Street that features local fashion designers from New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Houston, and now Austin! In their own words, and because it’s great inspiration, here’s what they’re all about:
Madame Amelie G gets its name from the Parisian Socialite Amelie Gautreau. She was the subject and model for the masterpiece “Madame X”, made by the famous portrait painter John Singer Sargent. She was born into an established Creole family in New Orleans and moved to Paris to become a fashion icon among French society during the Belle Epoque era.
And with that, I am SO thrilled to announce that our first Austin shoot is live on the Amelie G site!
I’ve assisted in shooting look books in the past, but this is the first time I’ve been head stylist so I jumped at the opportunity.
The featured designer/store is Austin’s own Raven + Lily, a fair trade online boutique.
